Description
Our Production Queens are open-mated Carniolan queen bees (Apis mellifera carnica), reared in the current season from selected maternal lines at our apiary in Slovenia.
Suitable for requeening production colonies, they come from breeding lines selected for gentle temperament, honey production and strong spring development.
Available from early May to the end of July.
Advance booking is recommended.
Prices and dispatch weeks for 2027
- 3–8 May: €30 per queen
- 10–16 May: €26 per queen
- 17 May–31 July: €23 per queen
Early-season prices reflect the more challenging weather conditions and lower mating success during this period, which increase the cost of rearing each successfully mated queen. Dispatch dates remain subject to weather conditions.
